Sometimes it’s totally valid; there are traumas that are hard to let go, and often the sadness that accompanies those past thoughts is just too hard to ignore — and so we give in to them.
We are all destined to have days like this here or there; days when we can’t shake the idea that something inside us is sadder than usual. It happens, and frankly, it usually happens the hardest when we have cancer transit.
But with the Moon in Cancer, it’s nearly impossible to avoid. And while everyone feels it, only certain signs will be almost unbearable. It’s hard to be sad.
The beginning of May comes with his contradictory thinking; on the one hand, it is the most beautiful month of the year and that is why we feel that we should be happy, cheerful and full of love.
What happens is that when we don’t go along with what is “expected” of us, we start to think there is something wrong with us. “Why don’t I feel happy on this beautiful May day?”
Since you’re human, you’re probably one of the zodiac signs below, AND because the moon is in Cancer, it means hypersensitivity is the vehicle driving our emotions today.
What is good to know in times of deep sadness is that this will pass – it always will. This is called being human; we have our ups and our downs, and yes, sometimes our downs are pure sadness.
After all, it’s hard to be a person. We go through so much, and on days like this, with the Moon in Cancer, it’s even harder for us than we knew it could be. Remember: it will pass. It will succeed. Know it, own it.
The three constellations whose grief overwhelms them during the Moon in Cancer, May 4 – 6, 2022:
1. Cancer
(June 21 – July 22)
You don’t like to show this side of yourself to anyone, so when the sadness hits, take a little vacation to the place where you feel most comfortable: your bed. And if you choose to feel sorry for yourself all day long, so be it; you are not a burden to others.
You know you get something like this every now and then, and you know how to deal with it, although that doesn’t ease the mental pain. As a Cancer, you take transits as Moon in Cancer to heart; old memories come up to bother you and past failures come through to haunt you.
You can tell the difference between the past and the now, but that doesn’t make the sadness go away; it just lets you know that you can deal with it and that it is temporary.
2. Libra
(September 23 – October 22)
You don’t like to look too deeply into what’s going on inside you for fear you’ll find untold horrors and buried memories – the kind that make you realize you’ve been lying to yourself for years. And yet, when the Moon is in Cancer, as it is during May 4-6, 2022, you may find yourself doing just that: reliving the past.
There are so many secrets you keep, and so far you’ve done an amazing job hiding them from the world. This is one of the reasons why you have become such a pleaser; you divert people’s interest from yourself by flattering them instead, which you think is the perfect ego pacifier.
Still, those burning memories don’t just go away because you’ve learned how to charm the crowd; you are left alone with yourself, and during Moon in Cancer this state of loneliness quickly turns into bitter loneliness and sad memories. I’m sorry, Libra.
3. Pisces
(February 19 – March 10)
You’re a bit of an emotional mess by nature, but you’ve certainly learned how to manage and manage your grief.
That is, until it comes out full throttle, during Moon in Cancer, where it hits you like a ton of rocks. You try to keep the sounds of sadness at bay, but you can’t – there are memories here that won’t go back.
And there are fears that accompany those memories that strike such a terror in your heart that you cannot just brush away this transit.
You’ve been down this road before and you’ve overcome your fears, so why is this happening again? This is where you need to step back and realize that sadness is part of your life, but not all of your life.
You are not defined by sadness, Pisces, and while this may be a difficult set of days for you, it will pass you by and know that this is true. Hang in there, you’ll get over it.
