“My two boys are here and I can hear them making so much noise… Don’t mess this up. Come on.”
Kim Kardashian is currently in New York City promoting her brand new skincare line, SKKN by Kim. And to spice things up a bit, the mother of four decided to enlist the company of two of her littlest helpers, sons Saint and Psalm West, who came along for the ride.
However, as many parents will know, the take-your-child-to-work day can often present some challenges, even for A-listers.
So on their journey the trio stopped at The Tonight Show on Tuesday night, where 6-year-old Saint and 3-year-old Psalm had the pleasure of sitting in the front row for their mother’s interview with Jimmy Fallon.
Although at one point during the show it seemed like the excitement was getting a little overwhelming for little Psalm, and it certainly didn’t go unnoticed.
Midway through their interview, as Kim talked about an embarrassing dinner experience with Will Ferrell, Jimmy’s eyes shot into the audience after he heard a small whimper from the front row.
“Um, I hear kids,” the host said, drawing Kim’s attention to the commotion and slipping straight into mother mode.
“Guys!” she said, waving her blond locks to face her sons in the audience. “Guys, can you stop?”
Then Kim embodied the spirit of her own mother and was quick to remind her children that this is a professional environment and they should behave their best.
“This is your first time working with me, please?” she said, keeping her calm.
The camera switched to show Saint sitting proudly in the audience, a cheeky grin peeking out from under his mask and red hat. Beside him sat his friend Remi, while Psalm sat behind them with a nanny.
“My two boys are here, and then my friend Tracy’s daughter, Remi, is here with us,” Kim explained. “I can hear them making so much noise.”
“Guys, this is your first time working with me. Don’t ruin this. Come on,” she added, laughing, wiping the kerfuffle.
But despite jumping right back into her conversation with Jimmy, it wasn’t long before she had to intervene a second time, in a slightly more frustrated tone.
“Guys, seriously,” she snapped, tilting her head back to the side. “You have to go.”
After the second interruption, Psalm – who is believed to have been the troublemaker – was quickly taken backstage by his nanny.
‘Psalmie has departed. Psalm went, he was loud,” Kim joked, before returning to the interview again.
On her way to the studio, Kim started a live video on Instagram but was interrupted by her vivacious sons storming the screen to introduce themselves to their mother’s millions of followers.
“Hello,” Psalm said sweetly, before his brother came up from above and greeted the viewers by saying, “Hello, fools!”
“Hey, stop!” Kim said in response, though Saint seemingly didn’t feel like obeying, telling viewers he hates them.
“If you’re watching this, I hate you!” he said with a giggle, again scolding his mother.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Kim has had to reason with her kids during a live stream.
Last December, you may recall that Kim’s eldest daughter, North West, went live on their joint TikTok account without permission.
After giving her 3.6 million followers a frantic tour of their home, the livestream came to an abrupt end after a then 8-year-old North stormed into her mother’s bedroom while Kim was relaxing in bed.
Fortunately for Kim, she prides herself on her superhuman ability to stay calm in the midst of chaotic situations. And with four kids to keep her busy, it seems that trait should definitely come in handy.
