GAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

After a hectic outing, No Man’s Sky has become one of the best games of its genre, and that’s largely due to how each planet can offer something different. From resources to wildlife, the planets will undoubtedly be the main places of star field where players can really explore and build as well. Although spaceflight is also an important component of the game, by Starfield planets cannot be missing, otherwise the game will be limited to a handful of planets, as players will not want to explore all available worlds.

Planetary diversity at Starfield

Whereas No Man’s Sky included an almost infinite number of planets, the only thing that made exploring so appealing was the differences between the planets. From animal and plant life that can be scanned, to materials unique to certain types of planets, global diversity means players are encouraged to keep searching for unique and rare materials. star field does not host as many planets as No Man’s Skywhich gives him the opportunity to go even further in this diversity.

star field should encourage players to travel to new planets with lots of engaging content. While the number of star field Planets are limited, there will still be around a thousand more to explore, which will likely keep players busy if they have enough diversity to make it worthwhile. With each solar system probably home to around ten planets, some of them may not be explorable at all, such as gas giants or planets too close to the star. If so, the planets players can explore should be even more diverse than No Man’s Skythanks to the reduced number.

Planets should have different uses

No Man’s Sky featured types of planets, each filled with unique resources, wildlife, and activities, but it also grouped planets based on how many of them were present. Some planets are filled with living beings, rich in resources, and may even harbor extraterrestrial life or outposts. This makes certain planets more useful for certain activities; for example, when mining carbon, players likely need to kill plant and animal life, which will make Sentinels hostile. Instead, players can go to lifeless Sentient and mine planets without worrying about Sentinels.

star field should include something similar, offering players planets rich in natural resources and uninhabited for mining expeditions, and other planets full of loot and enemies. Including No Man’s Sky the categorization of planets will allow players to understand the systems they are visiting and may gain insight into lore. This will make exploration much more important and could give players the opportunity to discover rare planets filled with the best resources and loot.

Activities and exploring

No Man’s Sky the open-ended style of play encouraged exploration and rewarded players with key information about existing settlements or even the ruins of lost settlements; however, it does not show the large colonies of by Starfield civilizations. This allows it to have larger ruins for players to explore, somewhat similar to dungeons, and gives them an opportunity to focus on that civilization’s lore and the RPG elements of the game.

The great cities and the ruins of star field will provide players with a brand new experience and provide much of the variety of locations in the game. No Man’s Sky offers players many ways to explore a planet in the form of vehicles, and star field should do the same. Exploring a planet from the air should allow players to map a planet and discover larger features like mountains, forests, or ideal base locations, while driving or even diving underwater could allow players to discover caves and mines, giving exploration a sense of realism.

No Man’s Sky fans slowly fell in love with the space survival game that offered ultimate freedom by allowing players to do whatever they wanted while frequently adding more content. Whereas star field probably won’t follow the same strategy, it’s already committed to giving players plenty of freedom in the game, but it’ll have to deliver. Diverse activities, unique planets to explore, and special activities could help give star field players this degree of freedom.

star field is planned for 2023 on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
