The Genshin Impact 3.1 update of King Deshret and the Three Magi will be available on September 28

Version 3.1 update for Genshin punchdubbed “King Deshret and the Three Magi”, it will debut on September 28, developer miHoYo announced.

Here is an overview of the updates via miHoYo:

The Nation of Wisdom will soon introduce a vast desert area, and the stories and adventures of Sumer will continue here. Three local characters, Nilou, Cyno and Candace, will also become playable characters! Meanwhile, Weinlesefest is poised to offer players more stories, events, mini-games and rich rewards in the clear autumn skies of Mondstadt.

Unlike the tropical rainforest, the rugged Sumerian desert has a rugged, dangerous beauty. In the heart of the desert is the majestic King Deshret’s Mausoleum and dungeons full of puzzles, mechanisms and robotic guards powered by the ancient technologies of the dead god and his ancient civilization. The desert is also home to the village of Aaru, the largest settlement of desert people, and a safe haven for outcast scholars and a wealth of information. As players delve into the desert area, Sumeru’s Archon Quest unfolds as more factions emerge, including the two Fatui Harbingers, Il Dottore and Scaramouche.

Powered by unknown technologies, the two mechanical monstrosities will make their debut as new Boss Enemies. The Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network is the leader of the mechanics guarding the King Deshret Mausoleum and can become invisible in combat. Another new enemy of the boss, Aeonblight Drake, will challenge players in the rainforest with clear attack patterns.

Meanwhile, the three characters of Sumer will be available for recruitment as reliable allies in player squads. After debuting as a dancer, Nilou will join as a five-star playable character Hydro, combining her elegant dance moves with fencing. The trustworthy General Mahamatra Cyno is also battle-ready as a five-star Electro pole holder. He is also a fan of Genius Invokation, a brand new card game that has yet to be added in version 3.3! Candace, a half-blood descendant of King Deshret, will make her debut as the protector of the Aaru Desert and Village. While wielding the Hydro Vision and Polearms, she will be available as a four-star character in Wishes for the Cyno & Venti rerun event in the first half of version 3.1. A replay of Nilou and Albedo will be released in the second half of the update. A replay of Nilou and Albedo will be released in the second half of the update.

Away from the desert, in Mondstadt, the annual Weinlesefest will be the brewing and wine tasting time of the year with Anemo Archon. Players will have the opportunity to meet friends in Mondstadt and help Razor discover more about his past. Weinlesefest also includes an important seasonal event of limited duration and four different mini-games. Players can claim a variety of rewards, including the new four-star Missive Windspear weapon, along with exclusive refinement materials, by earning Festive Fever in mini-games.

More challenges and rewards are also waiting for you in version 3.1. The “Wind Chaser” event will be a challenge for participants to manage wind energy in a special Domain. In another event, Star-Seeker’s Sojourn, you’ll help a young girl fulfill her wish in her search for future stars. Finally, you will be rewarded in Spiral Abyss if you complete floor 4, chamber 3, with the option to recruit a Collei for free. Additionally, the Daily Login Event returns where you can claim a maximum of 10 Combined Fate and other items. A total of Primogems × 1600, Delicate Resin × 4, and two unique gadgets, “Jumpy Dumpty Party Popper” and “Damasked Device Cloud Retainer” will be delivered by in-game mail.

To further enhance the player experience, v3.1 will include several new features, including dynamic terrain deformation, a solution to better simulate realistic sand trails. In the meantime, more DualSense controller support will be added to enable vibration when characters cast their Elemental Blast.
