Person 5 Kings
The show kicked off with the trailer for Persona 5 Royal, an enhanced re-release of Persona 5 coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 21. This was announced in June this year as part of Persona’s 25th Anniversary, and it is in addition to the Game Pass offering that strengthens Phil Spencer’s intention to bring more Japanese titles to Xbox. Persona 5 Royal will include all DLC packs and will be available on Xbox consoles and Windows PCs.
Wo Long: The Dynasty has fallen
From the producers behind Nioh and Bloodborne comes the action RPG Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which was announced on the Xbox Game Pass, the release date has not been confirmed, but it will be a Day One title that is likely to be released in 2023. The creators presented the title with a new gameplay trailer, which you can watch above.
Exoprimary
Exoprimal, a Capcom multiplayer action game with PVP and PVE 5v5 missions in which players must fight hordes of prehistoric monsters, will also appear in the ambiguous release window of “2023” on Xbox consoles. The gameplay seems to revolve around upgrading the armor of the exoskeleton and fulfilling the challenges posed by a sinister artificial intelligence named Leviathan. BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Special Edition
BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is a multi-world fighting game with characters from Persona, Under Night In-Birth, and the RWBY web series, to name a few. The game was released in 2018 for Playstation, Switch, and PC, but will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in Spring 2023.
Guilty equipment -Try-
Another 2D anime brawl from Arc System Works, Guilty Gear Strive will also be coming to Game Pass in Spring 2023. titles.
Naraka: Bladepoint Yushan Ruins and Campaign Mode Chapter 2
Naraka: Bladepoint came out exclusively on Xbox in June 2022 as an exclusive console premiere, with the “Showdown” campaign mode released in August 2022. Today at the Tokyo Games Show we got the trailer for the second chapter of Showdown, which will be released in October, and the entire new map “Ruins of Yushan” will be released on Xbox in December 2022. New heroes, game modes and areas will be introduced in the next iteration of the Gaming Campaign mode.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered
Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch is coming to the Xbox for the first time and in all its remastered glory. Xbox dropped the game on Game Pass Today on the occasion of the premiere of the Tokyo Games Show. Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom will debut on the Xbox Game Pass in 2023.
Danganronpa V3: Deadly Harmony
Another surprise in today’s Game Pass was Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. The Anniversary Edition is coming to Game Pass and is the popular, dialogue-packed visual adventure game that can also be played using Xbox cloud touch controls.
Overwatch 2: Kiriko’s new hero
Overwatch 2 will debut on October 4 and will debut as a free-to-play title. At today’s Xbox show, a new hero has been revealed – Kiriko and her companion Fox Spirit. Kiriko will be a support character that can clear teammates of negative effects, teleport directly to allies in need, has healing abilities and wields a kunai. The developers compared her healing skills to Mercy and Moira. Kiriko’s Ultimate “Kitsune Rush” will summon a fox spirit that speeds up movement, attack speed, and cooldown for all nearby allies.
The Chronicle of Eiyuden: One Hundred Heroes
The epic JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2023. The game started as a Kickstarter in 2020, and today it showed off a brand new gameplay trailer during the Xbox Showcase. The game promises to be a 90s JRPG love story with over 100 playable characters. Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising is now available for free on Game Pass if you need something to support you.
The Dyson Sphere Program
The Dyson Sphere Program is a science-fiction simulation from Youthcat Studios, coming to PC Game Pass on October 13. Manage your own intergalactic factory, excavate a mine, explore the universe and explore your procedurally generated planetary system. The Dyson Sphere program was inspired by Stellaris and the specific design of the Dyson spheres in its game and has a major update coming in 2023 “Rise of the Dark Fog”, bringing a new combat system to the gameplay.
Forza Horizon: 10th anniversary
In October, Forza Horizon will be celebrating its 10th anniversary, and today’s show has released a new trailer showing the festival’s locations over the years – UK, Italy, France, Australia, Colarado and Mexico. The Forza Horizon 5 Anniversary Update arrives on October 11 with a new story, fan-favorite soundtrack and Midnight Battle Mode. More information on this will follow soon.
Palworld
Have you ever wanted a Pokemon, but with weapons and grenades? Well, Palworld is here and is the answer to those prayers. Palworld is an open world multiplayer survival and crafting game where you collect pokemons I mean “Buddies” who will fight, till and build for you. Palworld has already been advertised on Steam, but announced today that it will be coming to Xbox consoles in 2023.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, available today as part of the Xbox Game Pass, is now free for all subscribers, and has been upgraded with 60fps support for the Xbox Series X. Odyssey is set in ancient Europe, retelling the mythological stories of Athens and Sparta.
Fugue: Steel melodies
FUGA: Melodies of Steel is a cute and slightly somber turn-based RPG with narrative adventure elements from CyberConnect2, available for download today as part of the Xbox Game Pass. The announcement comes along with a brand new trailer for Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, coming in 2023.
Death loop
Closing the show, Xbox announced the release date of the long-awaited Deathloop coming to Game Pass on September 20. Moreover, it can be pre-installed from today. The game was originally a Sony Playstation exclusive console, but September marks the end of the one-year deal. The game’s ads started running this week and were noticed by die-hard fans on the Xbox console, so while it wasn’t a surprise, Xbox fans will be pleased with the official release date. On launch, Deathloop will receive free Golden Loop updates that will include new weapons, enemies, upgrades, an extended ending, and cross-matchmaking.
Xbox big win in Japan
In total, the program released updates from 22 Xbox games, including 13 from Japanese developers. 3 new add-ons have been made available for download today on Game Pass, and early 2023 looks set to be a fairly crowded release window.
