Bungie Loot Shooter Purpose 2 will rise again on February 28, the day the new one is expected Light expansion is about to begin. But with the staggering $ 100 release of “Deluxe”, one naturally wonders if any of the included prizes can justify the price.

This new infusion of contents follows well received Queen of witcheswhose $ 80 Deluxe Edition, which includes the add-on and its Season Pass, garnered very positive reviews. Fans, including me, expect good things. However, LightThe price increase was also noted, with the base expansion sold for $ 50 and the Deluxe Edition expansion + season pass combination for $ 100. (Is also physical collector’s edition for an eye-catching $ 250 that includes a Pouka figurine with LED lighting among other things.) But I don’t need that; my eyes fell straight on the Deluxe Edition.

As you can see, I’m tempted to see the specific weapon you’ll receive if you pre-order the Deluxe Edition: A storm of living silver. An exotic automatic rifle, fans quickly realized that it was the most exciting Purpose 2 exotic for a long time. The only pressing question is whether the fun justifies the funding.

This is a very cool weapon. For every two rocket shots that hit, the grenade also spawns in the weapon’s alternate fire mode, a total of three separate ammo streams, all from the weapon that takes primary ammo. Destruction? Very high. This automatic rifle also pairs very nicely with the Action War RigExclusive to the Titans, the Exoticism allows you to passively refill your weapon’s ammunition from reserves, so your magazine lasts longer before you need to reload it.

Now a case against. First of all, Quicksilver Storm has been disabled by Bungie once in the past due to an exploit that overrides the team cleanup mechanic in some raids and dungeons. This was disbanded and the gun was back. Furthermore, Bungie did not mention any plans to weaken or otherwise hamper the operation of the weapon in the future.

That said, the players know the story all too well Purpose 2 balancing can seem cautious about adopting an exotic that feels too good to be true before even the first post-release patch lands, and for good reason. In the past, Bungie has been known to release new exotic weapons or armor that are seen as game-breaking or dominant in PvE or PvP; this allows you to ride through two or more patches and then either balances the exotics of the once OP into mediocrity or, at worst, weakens them to pointlessness. (As a wizard I cannot forget especially the devastating nerf of Skull of Dire Ahamkara.) The next question to ask is, is $ 99.99 really a reasonable price to pay for an expansion, an annual pass, and an exotic that has already made it through a purgatory of fixes?

Quicksilver Storm has opened many doors to new designs, especially when combined with the new Arc 3.0 namely Actium War Rig Titans. While it has already been temporarily disabled prior to its official launch, Bungie has rarely left items in this state for long periods of time. Personally, I have always liked buying the Annual Passes as I believe I save money in the long run when seasonal content is released in each expansion. The Deluxe Edition is just right for me. However, for people who were already going to buy 50 Light upgrades, but we were considering spending the extra money on the Annual Pass, it’s worth noting that Quicksilver Storm will become available to everyone Light players when the first season of the expansion starts in February.

Still, I find the fun factor of this exotic and the impressive possibilities – if you access it now – are compelling arguments when paired with the additional rewards that are usually unlocked as part of the Annual Pass. The entry price is high, but if you can save money and want to fully realize your dream of firing rockets, grenades, and primary ammo from the same automatic rifle – and now, without waiting – you might just want to do it. Quicksilver Storm is a fun exotic that has the potential to expand your experience in both Looting seasonand for those who will enter Light.
