Apple has released the iPhone 14 series, three Apple Watches, and the updated AirPods Pro, but if you order through Apple now, you’ll be waiting until October. Here’s how to get them faster elsewhere.
Apple has already seen some models, such as the iPhone 14 Pro, increasingly pre-ordering since pre-orders were available. Apple stores, however, always have their own inventory of new devices at launch, but in most cases they are also selling out.
There are exceptions, especially for the base iPhone 14 and Apple Watch SE.
IPhone 14 series
iPhone 14 was released on September 16, 2022, and is available for online ordering and in-store pickup today. For $ 9 by courier, the iPhone 14 can be delivered until 5:00 PM today, and regular overnight delivery is free.
While the iPhone 14 Plus was not released on September 23, and is due to be released on October 7 instead, there are currently no delays to delivery. Orders placed now for any color and any capacity of the iPhone 14 Plus will be shipped by October 7th.
The delay occurred on two models of the iPhone 14 Pro.
Online ordering of any color and any capacity of the iPhone 14 Pro shows a delay of at least three weeks. Apple estimates the delivery between October 18 and 25.
There is a longer delay with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and new orders are now expected to take a month. Apple estimates that any iPhone 14 Pro Max will ship between October 25 and November 1.
It is likely that Apple Stores will still have inventory. Random sampling of Pro models repeatedly shows them as unavailable for collection.
Typically, however, AT&T and Verizon are good sources for checking out new iPhones, and of course they contract with operators.
Apple Watch range
The Stainless Steel Apple Watch Series 8 edition is currently on order between October 11-18. However, there seems to be no delays with the entry-level aluminum model, which can be ordered today with courier delivery or in-store pickup.
The same goes for the Apple Watch SE, which is also currently showing no lags.
The Apple Watch Ultra, however, is heavily ordered even before its official premiere on September 23. Your online order from Apple today will run from October 25 through November 1.
Availability in third-party stores varies, but Amazon is currently announcing a shipment date for the Apple Watch Ultra as September 23.
Additionally, you can get better deals by purchasing Apple Watches from alternative vendors. Buy Apple Watch Series 8 or Apple Watch SE via Adoram, for example, and you will save $ 15 on AppleCare using this activation link and APINSIDER promo code. AppleCare for Apple Watch Ultra costs $ 20 with this activation link and the same APINSIDER code.
Apple’s newly updated AirPods Pro 2 headphones also arrived on September 23 and are now being ordered through Apple.
The shipping delay isn’t quite as pronounced as with the iPhone 14 Pro or Apple Watch Ultra, but you still can’t get a pair of AirPods Pro 2 from Apple in September. Instead, today’s online orders ship between October 4 and October 11.
But this is when you buy direct from Apple. If you check Amazon instead, the AirPods Pro 2 are currently listed not only at $ 10 off full retail but also on the day of launch, September 23.
