Academy of the Lost Ark – Engineer – News | The Lost Ark

Heroes of Arkesia,

On September 28, the Advanced Machines class will arrive in Arkesia. The train driver is armed to the teeth with the most modern machine guns, laser weapons and drones found in Arthentine – ready to blow up, set fire to and neutralize any threat with surgical precision.

The train driver will join Deadeye, Gunslinger, Artillerist and Sharpshooter as the fifth Gunner Advanced class. In this Lost Ark Academy, you’ll find information to help you find out if The Train Driver is the class for you – and if so, help you start planning the skills and engravings you want to use to increase your impact on the battlefield.

Key mechanics and class identity

The driver is armed with an arsenal of high-tech weapons and a drone capable of remote, precise strikes and unique attacks. When standard weapons and drone attacks are not enough to kill the target, the Train Driver can activate his identification ability and equip himself with the latest technology thanks to the Hypersync ability. The energy cores for the high-tech Hypersync suit can be charged by landing attacks, and upon entry, the energy of the Hypersync core will be consumed by skills until the Engine Driver runs out of power.

The skills of the driver are divided into four categories; Normal, Drone, Combo and Sync. Normal abilities revolve around a high-tech arsenal of Machinist-packed weapons and grenades that recharge the Hypersync battery. The drone’s skills focus on using the drone in a unique way – firing missiles, lasers and even small drones in precise, remote strikes. Joint skills focus on harmonious cooperation between the driver and the drone to unleash powerful joint attacks. Finally, sync skills are extremely powerful attacks triggered by a high-tech suit that can only be accessed when Hypersync is active.

Class and skill engravings

Like the other Advanced Classes, the Mechanic has two unique Class Engravings that enhance different aspects of the class. Class Evolutionary Engraving focuses on Hypersync mode, adding damage, reducing cooldowns, and restoring Core Energy to maximize the time spent in the high-tech suit. Strengthening another key aspect of the class, Arthentine’s Skill Class engraving focuses on the Teamwork of the Driver with the Drone, by increasing the skills of the Drone and Joint, and the speed of movement when the Drone is connected to the Driver.
